People will die if row not resolved

FINGAL residents 'will die' if a dispute over an ambulance serving the county is not resolved. The Health Service Executive has refused to pay Dublin City Council for the emergency vehicle, which is based at Swords Fire Station, and the service may yet be axed, leaving tens of thousands of people at risk.

Smiles all round for celebration

AS another winter weekend kicked-off, the bitter chill outside made it a cosy atmosphere in Swords' Harp Bar. While everyone else seemed to be busy engaging in friendly yet heated arguments over when their Christmas trees being put up, the cool vibe of the Harp, however, did not reflect this debate. Nightowl caught up with a select few who were taking their minds off the coming stressful weeks.

Syls on cusp of provincial glory

AN end-of-year sunshine holiday had to be cancelled when his team won through to next Sunday's Leinster Special Club Junior Hurling Final, but St Sylvester's manager Padraig Duffy has no complaints – as long as they win!
