Swords rockers, Blue Syndrome, are set to headline the Village on Saturday, October 2nd, with more details to follow.
And Skerries singer, Liz Seaver, will play Bewley's Café Theatre on Friday, October 29th. Look out for more in the coming weeks. - WHELAN'S was packed out last Friday night as highly-praised The Cast Of Cheers headlined the famous Wexford Street venue. The Swords foursome have been turning heads since the launch of the debut album, ' Chariot', in February, which was released free online and a steady stream of Fingal folk made the journey to the city centre.
The Cast of Cheers have already set their sights on shows across Ireland and beyond and are next in action at the Black Friars in Waterford at the end of the month, before playing Berlin Music Week in September. - RUSH solo artist, Roy Shiels, continues his jaunts around the country with a slot down south this week. Roy will be featured on the ' Irish Nightlife' show with Roddie Cleere, on Waterford radio station, WLR fm.
And he's also lined up two shows at The Chasin' Bull, Bundoran, Donegal in both September and October. - MALAHIDE'S finest, Director, blaze back onto the stage next week with a slot at Dublin's biggest live festival this year. Summer Blow Out takes place on Wednesday, August 18th at Donnybrook Stadium and a stellar line-up of eclectic acts will be making their way to the home of Leinster rugby.
Ndubz and Alexandra Burke are on the bill, as well as DJ sets from Alex Gaudino, Katie & Thomas and indie rockers Razorlight, while Director will be aiming to satisfy the more rocky elements of the expected 10,000 crowd.
