SUMMER finally came to a close in Swords over the weekend, although the warm vibes coming from the town's pubs told a different story. As the sun shone over the Fingal capital, hundreds of revellers made their way out for one more ' summer night' and an array of celebrations were taking place.

That was certainly the case as After Dark visited the Old Schoolhouse Pub and Restaurant on Church Road, which was thronged with punters. The ' Schoolhouse could rightly be regarded as one of Swords' best kept secrets, tucked away off Main Street, but the craic and atmosphere exuding from the venue are well known throughout Fingal and indeed beyond.

Speaking of further afield, you can't really get further away than Australia, but that's exactly where Arthur O'Brien had travelled in from on Friday night. Arthur was out with his pal Kevin Campbell and had made the marathon journey to Ireland for a birthday party.

Elsewhere, we caught up with Pauline Walsh and Claire Butler, who were in the midst of a girls' night out and were delighted to pose for a shot.

Crystal Blondel and Anthony O'Flynn were another pair who smiled for the cameras and were enjoying the relaxing vibes, as the weekend officially kicked off. Meanwhile, Helen Coyne and Mary McDermott were making the most of their night out, joking and laughing before another snap.

And our journey through the ' Schoolhouse concluded with a shot of Wiil Crowe and Kev Tiernan.

The lads were in great form and were gearing up for a big night out.
