Christmas lights to brighten up Donabate once again
Wednesday November 25 2009
THE Christmas lights in Donabate will be officially switched on next week, bringing that extra sparkled to the village around the festive season.
Preparations are already well advanced and Karl Harte of CP Electrical has kindly sponsored the initiative once again. The organisers are remaining tight-lipped as to what celebrities will be attending this year, but they have said there will be an appearance by a very busy man in a red suit! Entertainment
will again be courtesy of the Lambay Singers, who are hosting their own concert of seasonal favourites on December 11th and 12th of in the old Church of Ireland church in St Ita's Hospital. Tickets for the concert will be on sale at the lighting-up event.
It's all happening on Saturday December 5th at 7.15 approximately, after evening mass, in the car-park of St Patrick's Catholic Church in Donabate village.
