Dance school choir seeking new voices

THE opportunity to enjoy singing in a great local choir and a chance to meet new friends is offered by a Skerries performing arts school that is looking to recruit new singers to its choir. The Moore School of Performing Arts in Skerries has put the call out for new members to join its adult choir and invites anyone who can hold a tune to turn up to one of its weekly meetings and audition for the group. The choir meets every Tuesday in Skerries Sailing Club from 8.30pm to 9.45pm and both men and women of 18 years and over are invited to come along and give it a go. The Moore School of Performing Arts started in Skerries back in 1998 with 42 children and since those early days it has seen hundreds of students pass through its doors.
Set up by former Billie Barry kids, Susie and Michelle Moore, the school has gone from strength to strength and while its courses in everything from musical theatre to tap dancing are generally aimed at the young, the choir has both a junior and adult version. The Moore school has a professional and qualified teacher coming on board to teach the members of the choir, old and new and it is hoped that the choir will be able to participate in lots of competitions, locally, nationally and perhaps even internationally.
So if you have always fancied yourself as a bit of a singer but never found an outlet to express yourself in song, then this might be the ideal opportunity for you. Whether it is to compete or for just the sheer joy of singing, the Moore School of Performing Arts Choir needs you!
