A LITTLE piece of the glamorous Las Vegas strip came to Balbriggan recently when the bright lights of the city's casino culture formed a theme for a very special 30th birthday party. Sarah Morgan was the woman at the heart of the celebrations as she decided to mark her 30th birthday in true Las Vegas style at the Bracken Court Hotel in Balbriggan.

Sarah enlisted the help of billyvegas.ie to organise the party, with the web-based business supplying all the occasion equipment for the occasion.

Sarah's partner, Edward Carvin, proved his worth by building a 'little white chapel' set at the party to give the Bracken Court a bit of Las Vegas makeover.

The birthday girl described the night, saying: ' We had people dressed up as Lady Luck, high rollers and show girls to name but a few on the night and I was dressed as a poker girl.'

She said: 'A great night was had by all with the highest chip winners winning cool prizes such as iPods and the prize for best dressed on the night went to my Aunty Regina who was dressed as Lady Luck.'

The night kicked off at 9pm and went into the early hours and after the casino finished there was some of the top musicians in the town play some tunes for the partygoers.

Special thanks goes to Jimmy Brennan, Mark McInerney, Eric Campbell and Sharon Gaynor who's rendition of 'Sarah' by Thin Lizzy went down a storm, according to reports.

There was also a special word of thanks to Stephen and the crew from billyvegas.ie who were excellent on the night.

Sarah said: 'We wanted to bring a bit of Las Vegas to Balbriggan and the night was a massive success. I'd like to thank the Bracken Court hotel for the lovely food and everyone for coming and making such special night for me - roll on my 35th!'
