A DUBLIN Airport based aviation training company is heavily involved in an upcoming exhibition that introduces those interested in becoming pilots into the world of commercial flying. 'High flying' careers as commercial pilots are taking off, with over 2,000 people applying for the Aer Lingus Cadet Pilot Training Programme, combined with industry predictions for half a million new pilot jobs worldwide between now and 2030. At the Professional Flight Training Exhibition in Dublin's Convention Centre on March 3rd, organisers are expecting to welcome hundreds of young Irish hopefuls, who will have the opportunity to speak with airlines and training professionals about a career as an airline pilot. The exhibition is supported by industry leaders, such as Aer Lingus, 'Flyer' and 'Flying in Ireland' publications, as well as Simtech Aviation Training, a company based near Dublin Airport which provides training services to airline personnel, career pilots and simulator engineers. Sé Pardy, Director of Simtech Aviation Training in Fingal, and an active commercial pilot, is looking forward to meeting the next generation of new pilots at the Expo. 'Working in the aviation industry is a challenging, hugely rewarding experience with opportunities for travel, advancement and excellent remuneration,' said Mr Pardy. ' This exhibition is an absolute must for anyone considering a career in this industry as a professional pilot,' he added. The aircraft manufacturer, Boeing, forecast the need for 448,000 new airline pilots worldwide to enter the industry over the next twenty years, pointing to a consistent global demand for commercial pilots. In Europe alone, Boeing forecast a need for 94,800 new pilots. The Professional Flight Training Exhibition is aiming to help budding pilots seize these future opportunities and to support them in determining the requirements, prospects and costs of becoming a fully trained commercial pilot. ' The aim of the exhibition on March 3rd is to educate and advise visitors on what is required to become a pilot,' says Darran Ward, Exhibition Manager. This Exhibition is the perfect opportunity for visitors to speak to the airlines, world leading training providers and experts, all under the same roof in Dublin's Convention Centre.' The Professional Flight Training Exhibition will take place at The Convention Centre, Dublin on 3rd March 2012 from 10am to 5pm. Entry is €10 and further details can be found on www.flyer.co.uk/exhibitions
