A SWORDS nightspot has scooped a top prize at the National Hospitality Awards, just months after opening its doors. The Wright Venue, located at Airside, won the Best Nightclub Award at the ceremony, held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Ballsbridge.

Since opening, the Venue has surpassed all expectations and the award was collected by Alan Clancy, general manager of the Wright Group.

The three-storey, purpose-built entertainment complex was finally unveiled in July, employing some 300 staff and featuring indoor and outdoor cocktail bars, private booths, a roof-top bar, a live venue and exclusive suites. Renowned for its music and hip acts, the club has hosted an array of top international and local names, including Pixie Lott, Leroy Thornhill of The Prodigy, Seb Fontaine, Peaches Geldof, JLS and Danielle Lloyd.

It's fast becoming the haunt of the city's movers and shakers and is also home to the hit tv show, The Apprentice - You're Fired.
