TRACTOR fans take note - Clonalvy National School's Parents Association is running a tractor run on Sunday, September 5th. The event will see tractors of every age, shape and hue gather in Clonalvy before they all set off around the local highways and byways. All proceeds go towards Clonalvy National School in order to raise funds for continuing refurbishment of the school. The tractors and drivers will meet in the field opposite St Finian's National School in Clonalvy at noon.

There will be tea, coffee, sandwiches and buns in the school to fuel up the drivers before they set off along the road.

The run will start at noon and it will last for approximately two hours with a 30-minute break at Bellewstown.

Veteran tractor run expert Barney Green will be on hand to lead the run and guide the first timers! From the meeting, the tractor will move on past the Three Gates Nursery and into The Naul on then to Gilligans Cross and into Bellewstown, Ardcath and over to Garristown.

The run will finish at Donnellys Pub in Clonalvy at approximately 2pm where a fine raffle will finish off the event with opportunities to win prizes galore for all!

The entry fee is € 20 per tractor. All drivers will need to have their own insurance.
