Why should people vote for you?
I am a young, enthusiastic candidate and having grown up in the area, I'm well aware of the problems facing those living in the ward. I don't have any vested interests, I don't represent big business, employers or developers. I represent the ordinary men and women of north Dublin. What change do you want you to bring to the ward?
I want voters to feel that their elected representatives have something in common with them, that they understand the difficulties they face in everyday life.
I want to represent the people who vote for and elect me and I want to dispel the myth that politics is only for the elite. What's the most common issue cropping up on the doorsteps? The most common issue I'm hearing on the doors is the need for change. People don't feel the Government parties have any kind of roadplan to get the country out of this mess.
They understand that local government won't be able to solve the national issues of rising unemployment and our inadequate health system, but they believe that Fianna Fáil and the Greens need to be sent a strong message that the people want change.
