A MEETING is to take place between the CEO of EirGrid and representatives of Rush Community Council following representations by Trevor Sargent, TD and his colleague Minister for Energy, Communications and Natural Resources Eamon Ryan.
' I appreciate that the people of Rush fully support the strategic importance of the interconnector but I share their view that there is a better route for it to follow,' said Deputy Sargent.
' This is something that needs to be discussed with EirGrid and I am delighted that, following discussions with Minister Ryan, the people of Rush will be able to share their concerns directly with EirGrid's CEO.'
