MORE than 150 guest enjoyed a wonderful night at the Waterside House Hotel as the Donabate Senior Citizens held a memorable Christmas party last week.
Local politicians Minister Trevor Sargent, Michael Kennedy TD and Senator Brendan Ryan, joined Fr Pat Reilly and solicitor John Hennessy at the event, which was a huge success. Flo Foreman was awarded the senior citizen of the year during the evening, while Timmy and his band kept everyone entertained.
'It was a brilliant night and a great time was had by all,' chairperson Frank Fleming said. 'It was the first time we were in the Waterside in 11 years and it was the best night we had in 11 years.' Mr Fleming thanked all those who had supported the organisation during the year, especially its sponsors, as well as Paul Slattery and all the staff of the hotel.
'I like to wish everyone a very happy Christmas on behalf of the committee and the best of luck for the new year,' he added.
