Metro hearing reopens
Wednesday November 11 2009
THE Metro North project has taken another step forward with the news the oral hearings into the scheme will begin at the end of the month.
An Bord Pleanála will stage the hearings in the Gresham Hotel, beginning on November 30th at 11am and it's understood oral representations from the various interested parties will take in the order of three weeks to complete. Once the evidence is heard by the board, their officers will be in a position to make a formal decision on Metro before the summer. The Government has already sent a revised technical specification to two tender companies so that a formal bid construction price can be prepared.
