Model student Aoife wins dream contract
Aoife Ryan ( 16) has won a modelling contract with Elite Model Agency.
A RUSH teen, who was a finalist in the Elite Model Look Ireland competition at the weekend, has received a modelling contract with the agency.
Aoife Ryan ( 16) of Golf Road and a student at Loreto Secondary School in Balbriggan worked her way through the different stages of the competition to beat off 40 other contestants to gain her place in the top 14 for the Irish final which took place in The Wright Venue in Swords on Saturday.
Although Aoife did not win the overall contest, she was delighted with her achievement on the catwalk,' said her proud mum Aisling.
' Aoife got on great and really enjoyed herself.'
During the final, Aoife and the 13 other finalists were judged by a panel of nine people from the fashion world including a judge from Elite Model Agency in Milan.
' They had to do different rounds such as denim and tshirts, cocktail dresses and casual wear,' she explained.
' This is something Aoife has dreamt about since she was a child.'
' She hasn't decided yet whether to take up the contract or not as its all just sinking in at the moment.'
Aoife was brought back to reality on Monday morning as instead of putting on cocktail dresses and make-up, she was back in her school uniform for classes at Loreto Balbriggan.
