SOME € 2,345 of Averil Power's expense total went on an office and stationery while another € 2,563 was spent on secretarial costs during the local election campaign.
The Fianna Fáil firsttime candidate received € 2,500 from the party's Dublin North East branch, while the party funded 0.1% of her total cost, or € 18.15. Independent candidate, Jimmy Guerin, raised € 3,100 of his expense tally from the net proceeds of a raffle, spending € 1,100 on postage, € 600 on photography and € 600 on petrol.
Labour's Cllr Peter Coyle was another to spend on petrol, namely € 60, while he also spent € 90 on printer cartridges. At the same time, Cllr Alan Farrell of Fine Gael spent € 300 on cable ties for his posters, as well as € 120 on photography and € 636 on postage.
Senior Solidarity candidate, John Wolfe, spent € 250 on transport and travel during his campaign, while Cllr Joan Maher of Fine Gael ran up a € 200 bill for transport and travel, as well as forking out € 200 on food for her campaign workers.
The Green Party's outset councillor, David Healy, meanwhile shelled out € 429 on refreshments for his campaign workers at his election launch, along with another € 200 on renting a room for a public meeting at the Marine Hotel.
His fellow Green, Robbie Kelly, spent € 385 at the Grand Hotel and Marine Hotel, as well as € 300 on lunches for his campaign workers and € 850 on stamps and envelopes. Both candidates received a € 1,000 contribution from Minister for Food and Horticulture, Trevor Sargent TD, while Mr Kelly also received a € 2,500 cheque from the Fingal Greens.
Elsewhere, Socialist candidate, Brian Greene, received a € 680.40 donation from Cllr Clare Daly, while 40% of his expenses were funded by the party.
