A new addition to medical services in Skerries is opening of the town's first physiotherapy clinic.
A chartered clinic, know as PURE Physio Skerries, has opened in the town offering general physiotherapy treatment of sprains, strains and all types of sports injuries as well as disorders of the joints and muscles.
It is the first clinic of its kind to open up in the north Fingal town and offers easy access to physiotherapy to locals for the first time. Genevieve Fay (MISCP), is the physiotherapist that heads up the new Skerries service and is a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists. As a keen hockey playand ardent Leinster
er Rugby supporter and a life-long fan of the GAA, Genevieve developed a natural interest in sports injuries.
Her new Skerries service is based at Dr Keane's surgery in Holmpatrick and having just completed a post-graduate qualification in Pilates training, she hopes to add Pilates classes to the services on offer at the clinic in the coming months.
