FINE Gael's Cllr Tom O'Leary forked out a total of € 730 on transport and travel costs, as the extent of his € 12,358 outlay was broken down.
The Skerries native spent some € 250 on publicity, along with € 650 on campaign workers, while he ran up office costs of € 50, explaining he had 'no office' on his returned form. And Cllr O'Leary also spent € 5,348 on posters, along with € 4,555 on leaflets and campaign literature.
€ 1,300 of Joe Corr's € 11,555 expenditure went on artwork for a campaign van, which cost another € 540 to use during the run-in to polling day, while Fianna Fáil's Stephen O'Connell spent € 100 on 'diesel' under the travel and transport category.
Mr Corr also spent € 5,186 on publicity and advertising, the highest tally in the ward, while Mr O'Connell's combined bill for posters and leaflets came to € 7,238.
Independent Cllr May McKeon's expenses included € 73.50 spent on balloons, as well as € 500 on publicity at the Bracken Court Hotel and € 150 to local website, Balbriggan. net.
Mayor of Fingal, Cllr Ciaran Byrne, meanwhile, shelled out € 150 on photography for his campaign, while spending € 2,640 on advertising and publicity, € 2,107 on posters and € 2,342 on leaflets and other literature.
