Projects short-listed in awards programme
SIX Fingal projects has been short-listed in the AIB Better Ireland programme. Representing AIB Balbriggan are: Rush, Lusk & Skerries Branch of Dyslexia Association; North Fingal School Completion Programme; Skerries Special National School ( St. Michael's House). And nominated by AIB Swords are: 9th Port Malahide Seascout Group; St. Cronan's Junior National School; Fingal Community College School Completion Programme
Almost 1,300 applications were received by AIB branches from across the country.
546 projects - three per branch - will now be voted on by local communities to decide how the € 10,000 funding available at each branch will be distributed.
Text and online votes from the general public will rank the projects. The one that attracts the most votes will be awarded € 5,000. Second place will receive € 3,000 and third place € 2,000. Voting commences on Monday, February 15th and continues until March 15th . This year, votes can be cast via text or online. Further details on voting will be announced shortly.
