TWO Swords schools are in line for a refurbishment works in the coming weeks, following the allocation of grant aid from the Department of Education.
Finance to replace a boiler has been sanctioned for Loreto College, while funding for the upgrading of the toilets at Holy Family Senior National School has also been approved.
Local Fianna Fáil TD, Michael Kennedy, confirmed departmental approval had been attained and said he was delighted by the news. 'I understand that the building unit of the Department of Education will be in contact with the school authorities shortly regarding the amount of funding approved,' Deputy Kennedy said.
'I will keep a close eye on progress as we need to get this work done as soon as possible.'
