Moore returns but War lose their opener

MAN O' WAR began their new campaign with a six-point defeat to Ballymun Kickhams on a day that marked the return of Gary Moore to the club.
Moore, after a spell with O'Dwyers, lined out in the half backs for the team who won promotion from Division four this year along with neighbours Ballyboughal.
Ballymun had led 3-5 to 1-3 (Shane Mulligan netted for Man O' War in the first half) at the break, but with keeper Paul Martin coming out of goal to score 1-1 from the full forward position, Man O'War fared better in the second half, with Francis Sheridan turning in a good display at half back.
