Mulhall shines as Towers fall

LUCAN SARSFIELDS..................0-12 ROUND TOWERS LUSK...............0-7

Wednesday March 10 2010

UNDERAGE star Sean Mulhall gave the Round Towers management plenty to be encouraged about despite Sunday's five point defeat in Lusk.

The attacking line looked very sharp in the early stages, with the mobile Donnagh O'Reilly setting up Mulhall for an early score.

After two Lucan scores, Reilly then made a good run from deep to level proceedings, before Andrew Moore curled over a lovely score from the wing to cancel out a Lucan effort.

And although Lucan were to get back on top again, two Mulhall scores cut the Sarsfields lead to just a point at the break â?“ 0-6 to 0-5.

However, Lucan got on top after the break to run out comfortable winners.

ROUND TOWERS LUSK: Mark Grimes, Declan McGrath, Pat Finnegan, Derek Brennan, Stephen O'Reilly, David Daly, Damien Hughes, Sean Brenan, Stephen Harford, Neil Rogan, Donnagh Reilly 0-2, George Leech, Sean Mulhall 04, Andrew Moore 0-1, Declan Moore. Sub: Stephen Fee for Finnegan.
