O'Dwyer's give St Brigid's a fair fright

O' DWYERS gave St Brigids a bit of a scare at the weekend to boost confidence ahead of their league opener on Sunday.
O'Dwyers after losing out in a tight struggle to Garristown two weekends ago, were slow of the mark as Brigids put up five points without reply.
However approaching half time O'Dwyers found the back of the net when, off a long ball in played in by their experienced midfielder Liam Prout, Aaron Keenan rose high to fist the ball home from just outside the score.
Brigid's added another point to leave it 0-6 to 1-0 at the interval.
O'Dwyers then hit their opponents for a second a goal when, following a goalkeeping error, Keenan followed up.
Wing back Stephen O'Donoghue then levelled proceedings with point from forty metres out, but Brigid's pulled away after that, with a 50th-minute free from Liam Prout, O' Dwyers last score of the game.
