Best of luck to the first team who play Crumlin or Thomas Davis in the fourth round of the Intermediate Championship in Naul next Saturday at 6pm – all support welcome. Congratulations to the U-13 boys team who beat Lucan Sarsfields in their first league match since returning from the summer break. Best of luck to the U14 girls who play Erins Isle in the championship on Friday – all support welcome.
Belated congratulations to Richie and Claire Rodgers on the birth of their daughter Leah and also to Tommy and Maria Rodgers on the birth of their son James Joseph.
The club is holding a Race Night on Saturday September 25th in Kettle's Country House Hotel, starting at 7.30pm. Business sponsors are now being sought for advertisements in the race booklet and horses can now also be purchased for the race night.

The men play St Sylvester's tonight at 8.15pm, with the winners facing Kilmacud Crokes, while the ladies take on Ballyboden St Endas in the Senior Championship final on Friday at 8.15.
In front of Christy Cooney and a huge number of supporters the U-12 hurlers took on Cuala in the Division 1 Shield semi-final in the Camiant Finals in Parnell Park. After a tremendous match which ended in a draw, Fins were unlucky to lose in sudden-death extra time.
Last weekend saw wins for the U11A, U-13B, U-14 and Minor teams.
The Club Juvenile Football and Hurling Academy has restarted after the summer holidays each Saturday from 10 - 11.30am, for boys and girls aged four to seven years. The Ladies Football Academy ( for girls aged four to seven only) starts at 12.30pm.
Well done to Deirdre Farrell and Phillis Brown who represented the club in the National Half Marathon in Athlone.
All qualifying members who wish to be included in a draw for tickets for the All-Ireland Football Final, Down v Cork, please leave your name at the bar before Thursday September 16th.
Colours Night 2010 will take place on Saturday September 18th. Wear your county jersey and enjoy a BBQ, GAA quiz, music, raffle and lots more on the night as a Juvenile section fundraiser.
Last week's lotto numbers were 17, 21, 23, 28, 29. Well done to Donaghmore/ Ashbourne and Fingal Ravens who won their respective semi-finals in the Phil Davis Memorial Cup. A date for this final has yet to be decided.
Also well done to the U-11 girls who defeated Fingal Ravens in a friendly last Saturday. That team face Ravens again on Saturday in Garristown at 4pm.
In the Senior Championship, Garristown hosts the St Maur's v Fingal Ravens match this Tuesday night at 7.30. Any other games will be notified by text.
There was no winner of the lotto last week. Numbers drawn were 6, 7, 36 and 42 and the jackpot now stands at € 2,500. The € 20 winners were Margeret Fahy, Frances Mulvaney and Lady Hamilton, while the sellers' prize went to M Andrews. Direct Debit forms are now available from any committee member and you can play three lines for € 20 per month or one line for € 8 per month.
Training for adult men; s teams is on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8pm in the pitch, while Juvenile training will recommence next Tuesday at 6pm.
Congratulations to Ollie and Sheila on their recent marriage and to Robbie and Lynda on the recent birth of their baby girl. Our young hurlers continue to impress, with our Under-10s, 11s and 13s winning at the weekend. Names to watch out for in the future are Calum Cawley, Graham O'Neill, Andrew Dowd, Sam Corcoran and Tom Kinnane.
Our Under-14 camogie girls had an impressive championship victory over Oliver Plunketts, while the Junior A hurlers completed their league campaign with a draw against Castleknock.
One of the best games seen at the club for a long time took place on Saturday evening when our Senior hurlers played out a cracking draw with Ballinteer in the championship. The point is enough to keep us in contention to make the knockout stages. That was the start of a very good weekend for a certain Tipperary man!
The Inter footballers play in the championship this Tuesday night in Balgriffin.

On Saturday September 26th we host the Ladies Football All-Ireland Sevens. We wish to remind all mentors that there will be no home fixtures or training for any team in any code on that weekend. The Nursery Skills Camp continues every Saturday in O'Dwyers from 11am - 12.30pm for children aged five to eight years old – € 2 per child.

O'Dwyers GAA Club would like to send their congratulations to our club president Dinny O'Leary and Terry on their Golden Wedding Anniversary. It was another busy time for the club the week before last, with the senior team involved in championship action against Naomh Olafs.
The team was rocked by a number of late withdrawals, but the lads put on a brave display and competed well in all areas of the field. In the end they lost by 2-7 to 0-5.
There was better news for the the U16s who played in the Fingal League final against Na Dubh Gall.
The lads showed great determination and despite a late fightback by Na Dubh Gall they hung on to clinch a famous victory and claim their first silverware of the year.
There was no jackpot winner in the club lotto held last Thursday week.
Round Towers Lusk run a very successful Nursery every Saturday from 10.45 to 11.45am, focusing on basic fundamentals and games for children aged four to seven years old. There is a small cost of € 2 per child.

We also cater for boys and girls football teams from U-7 to U-16. If you require any more information regarding training times etc, it will be displayed on the noticeboard outside the village shop. Congratulations to our adult Intermediate footballers on their fine win against Naomh Mearnóg in the championship. We are heading into the peak championship part of the season for all of our teams, so please make a special effort to come out and support the teams.
The next club event is the Casino Night on September 18th at 8.30pm. The theme is James Bond, so get thinking about your costume. Please also try to get sponsorship for the tables (€ 100) or advertisers for the programme (€ 80 full page, € 40 half-page).

Our under-9 girls played their first match last Sunday week against Fingal Ravens. Well done to everyone who participated.
Under-9 and 10 girls training started back last Wednesday. All roads lead to Garristown this Tuesday night as Maur's take on Fingal Ravens in the Senior Football Championship. All members are asked to support the team.
Hard luck to the U-12s who lost in the semi-final of Caimaint in Parnell Park.
This is a busy week for the Juvenile section, with training in full swing. A series of blitzes have been arranged and help from parents is essential. The Club lotto jackpot is now € 6,500 and the draw takes place every Sunday during bingo.
With over 3,000 houses now in the parish we are looking for people to sell lotto door-to-door. If you are interested please call to the club any Tuesday between 8 and 10pm or contact any committee member.
Our annual Christmas draw will be launched this week. Every member must support this, our most vital fundraiser.
There will be a theatre night in Millbank next Wednesday to raise funds for our Ball Wall. If you need tickets please contact any member of the Juvenile committee this week as tickets are limited.

A massive well done and thank you to all who supported our Street League competition last week. A great week had by all, and our finals on Saturday had a special guest appearance from Mr Christy Cooney, the president of the GAA, and Mr John Costello, secretary of the Dublin County Board.

There was no winner of last week's lotto jackpot, and the jackpots now stand at € 3,040 ( match three) and € 4,120 ( match three + bonus). Girls training stars back tomorrow ( Wednesday) at 6pm in Balamastone. The ladies football team put in a great performance but lost their championship final to Raheny last Wednesday. To reach the final in their first year was a great achievement, though, and congratulations to everyone involved.
The intermediate hurlers lost their championship match against Whitehall on Saturday in a low-scoring match. Missed chances from frees cost us dearly.
The Minor A footballers lost their championship match against St Anne's by four points.
At juvenile level the Under-12 hurlers won the Division 2 Camaint Final, the Under-13 footballers continued their winning streak with a victory over Cuchulainn, the Under-14s won their game against St Brigids and the Under-15s beat Kilmacud Crokes after extra time to progress to the next round of the championship.
Tonight ( Tuesday) the senior footballers take on Fingallians in Parnell Park at 8.15pm and a victory in this game would put them through to take on Kilmacud Crokes on Saturday in Parnell Park at 6pm.
On Wednesday the Intermediates take on O'Dwyers in their championship match in Lawless Park at 7.30pm.
We send best wishes to Noel Falvey for a speedy recovery, from all your friends. The ditch feels empty without you. It was a great weekend both on and off the field for the club. Both Minor football teams recorded super championship victories, the ' A' team beating Kilmacud Crokes 2-6 to 0-9 and the ' D' Championship side overcoming Raheny. Well done to all.
The Junior hurlers had a league win over Whitehall Colmcilles and congrats to the U-12 hurlers who reached the Camaint final after losing to Na Fianna.
