HAVING lost by 27 points to St Finian's the last time the sides met, St Maur's turned in vastly improved display on this occasion.
Maur's, in their first outing, can feel happy with some excellent performances most notably from Eoghan Ryan, Conor Moran and Ciaran Price who worked tirelessly.
After an even enough first half Finian's led by a point with Gary O'Brien netting for Maur's and Danny Butterly and Conor McGuinness sending over additional points.
St Finian's strength showed in the second half. but they were made to fight all the way by Maur's who had excellent performers in Jack Higgins, Conor Deane, Danny Butterly Conor Carey, Conor Moran, Gary O'Brien and Conor McGuinness.
