Maurs take derby honours
SECOND-HALF goals from Robert Carty and Robert Reynolds saw Derek Farren's team claim a share of the spoils in this Stacy Cup encounter in Rush at the weekend.
With Andrew Scully operating well in the half back line and brothers John and Trevor Kelly performing well up front, St Maurs were well in contention at the break.
And they were awarded a penalty five minutes into the second half when Robert Reynolds was dragged down inside the large parallelogram.
Reynolds dusted himself down to convert the subsequent spot kick, with Robert Carty then netting Maurs second goal towards the end.
The game also marked John Butterly's return to the team after a year on the sidelines with injury.
