Back-to-back wins

THIS past week proved to be an encouraging one for Swords as they picked up victories in the league and cup.
On Sunday they faced Corinthians for the second time in seven days, this time in the Cup, and while there was no repeat of the previous week's 5-1 scoreline Swords made it safely through to the quarter-finals.
Corinthians actually scored first, but Swords drew level when Fiona Walshe found the net following a wellexecuted corner. That's the way it remained until five minutes from time when a free outside the circle saw Siobhan McKittrick beat two players before passing to Aisling Corby who finished superbly from a tight angle.
Earlier in the week Swords accounted for Our Lady's in the Leinster League, Rachel Jones, Breda Orohoe, Cerrie Byrne and Corby netted in the 4-1 away win.
