THE major fundraiser arranged by the Eddie Laycock Trust drew a massive crowd to the Citywest Hotel in Rathcoole last Saturday week.

A total of 680 turned out to show their support for one of Ireland's past greats in his time of need following major surgery, and they were treated some great entertainment.

There was a great attendance of past and present riders to show their support for their old pal. Compere for the night was Eddie's co commentator in Moto GP, Peter Collins.

During the night Peter interviewed Eddie, who was in good form despite having just been released from hospital a few days before.

During the night there were a number of items auctioned, including an old helmet of Eddie's, a Valentino Rossi helmet, and numerous others to help swell the fund.

Eddie was delighted to see so many old friends, and wished to thank those who made the night a success.
